William R. McPike, Attorney at Law specializes in medical marijuana law and patient rights. His papers on the subject are used by other attorneys throughout California. Additionally, his developed methods are now part of the approved California Bar's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) for practicing attorneys. Mr. McPike graduated from California State University Fresno. He received his JD from Humphrey's College, School of Law. McPike has been an active member of the California Bar since 1980. His California Bar number is 95869. He has successfully defended marijuana patients throughout California's Central Valley (San Joaquin Valley).
As reported in Bud Life, Mr. McPike has won medical marijuana patient cases without the patients even entering a plea (arraignment). In the Celli case not only was the case fully dismissed before arraignment, Mr. McPike successfully argued for the return of over one pound of medical marijuana for his client.
In the more recent Ainsworth case McPike won a full dismissal for his clients -- before arraignment -- including related felony firearm charges.
Mr. McPike is an active member of the NORML Legal Committee (NLC).
